Ireland was represented by a Senior and a Veteran Team at last weekends National Skeet HCIT which was held in Lakenheath, England.

Irelands Senior Team which consisted of Jimmy Kneale, Malcolm Graham, Peter Monaghan, Tony Young, Frank Boyle, Geoffrey Quinn, Sean McGinley, Alistair McCready, Gordon Roulston and David Gold finished behind England in joint second place equal with Scotland on a score of 488 but unfortunately Ireland lost the resulting shoot off for the runners up awards.

Irelands Veteran Team consisting of John Diver (Team Manager) and Liam Callaghan (Team Captain) however had no such difficulty and claimed the runners up position behind England outright.

New cap Jimmy Kneale chose this opportune time to shoot his first 100 straight at National Skeet and not alone claimed the Ireland High Gun but also ensured that for the second year in a row the Graham and Joyce Hill Cup for the highest scoring New Cap was won by an ICPSA member.

Preparations can now begin for the ICTSF Federation Skeet World Championships which will take place from 29th July to 2nd August 2009 at Doveridge in England.  Further details on this event and the selection procedure for Irelands Teams will be published once they have been finalised.
