We would like to congratulate our Teams who participated at the recent ICTSF World Skeet Championships at Doveridge in England and in particular Malcolm Graham and James Kneale who finished well up the leader boards.

In addition to James and Malcolm, James McGarry, David Gold, William McLaughlin, Liam Callaghan, Con Smith and John Diver completed the Ireland contingent at the Championships with John also filling the role of Manager.

Malcolm went into the final stage of the shoot off element just a single target away but two slips on high 2 left him finishing on a score of 197 ex 200 and while sadly out of the medals he did finish in the prizes.

James Kneale finished on a score of 194 ex 200 to claim the silver medal in class “B” missing out for a chance of gold by a single target.  To make matters worse, James missed his final target on one stage as a result of his barrel selector changing to fire the top barrel first and consequently lost the target as the loaded bottom barrel failed to go off when he attempted to fire at his nominated bird.

It has been confirmed that the 2nd ICTSF World NSK Championships will take place in 2012 at the ACTA National Shooting Grounds at Wagga-Wagga, Australia and we are sure that those who keep this discipline alive in Mulroy CPC will be making their plans already.
