The men's Olympic Trap event finally kicked off yesterday in Sydney with each shooter completing two rounds with clear rounds being hard to come by.

Today competitors shot one round each and at the close of play Team Irelands Derek Burnett is well positioned on a score of 71 ex 75 (23, 24, 24) while Alexey Alipov leads on 74 followed by three shooters on 72.

Philip Murphy sits on a score on 67 (23, 20, 24) with Wayne Byrne 4 targets further adrift on 63 (21, 20, 22).

In the MQS event Shane Corrigan finished on 68 (23, 21, 24).

The third and final day will see shooters face in to two more rounds and we wish all our members every success.

Day Three:

Final rounds of 24 and 20 saw Derek Burnett finish on a total score of 114 with Philip Murphy (22+ 20-109) and Wayne Byrne (24+19-106) also following a similar pattern.

In the MQS category Shane Corrigan finished on 112 (20+24).

The next event in the ISSF World Cup series takes place next month in China.
