This year's International Clay Target Shooting Council Sporting Home Countries International Tournament takes place on 10th September next.

The venue for 2011 is Mill Hill Clay Pigeon Shooting Club which is located at Smarmore, Ardee, Co. Meath (www.millhill.ie)

The Satellite Navigation coordinates of the club are N53.80438° W006.58000° or N530 48′ 15.8″ W0060 34′ 48.0″.

Robert Cavanagh (00 353 87 2602505 or robertcavanagh@diginet.ie ) will be the Mill Hill CPSC liaison point of contact for any queries you might have with regard to the Tournament or your general requirements.

The Tournament will be held over 100 targets with Teams of 24:

  •  Seniors- Team of 15 with 10 to count.
  •  Ladies- Team of 3 with 2 to count.
  •  Veterans (60 or over on 01/01/11) – Team of 3 with 2 to count.
  •  Juniors (under 21 on 01/01/11) – Team of 3 with 2 to count.

Practice will be available at Mill Hill CPSC on 8th September with a preliminary competition on the 9th and an Open Shoot on Sunday 11th September.

The post-Tournament banquet plus the Team photographs will take place at the Marriot Hotel, Ashbourne, Co. Meath (http://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/dubmaashbourne-marriott-hotel/ ).

The hotel will be offering a special accommodation rate of €80 per room B+B and we would recommend that those who intend availing of this offer should make their booking ASAP quoting “Mill Hill”.

Visitors from outside the Republic of Ireland will need a visitors shotgun permit.  Please find attached an application form for a visitor’s firearms certificate and some details on the process.

The cost per certificate is €45 which includes administration and postage charges. The minimum age for the granting of a visitors certificate is 16 and therefore all Team members MUST be a minimum of this age at the time of the event and we would like to remind you that a licence is required for each firearm.

Applications for visitor’s certificates must be made through the host venue please and we would request that these be made en-bloc and at least 30 days in advance of the event to allow for processing.
