First out this morning was Tom Cummins who despite a low and wispy sun managed to tame the conditions to post a very credible opening 23. Competitors found these early rounds difficult due to a head wind which had carried over from yesterday evening. The jury reset the target distances to take account of this wind but unfortunately the wind died early and the remaining shooters were left with targets traveling a few metres further than on day 1. Tom came out for his second line and put a text book performance in place with a 25 straight for what was a deserving finish to a very hard competition with a final score of 114....
Derek Burnett was first of the Irish team to take to the line with an early start of 8:55am. Weather conditions had improved dramatically over yesterday and early conditions were a mixture of bright sunlight with some overcast cloud....
