ICPSA member Kevin Kilty has been appointed by the International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) as Chairman of their Coaches Committee.

The appointment follows Kilty’s work over the last few years with the ISSF Training Academy in Finland where he is the Federations lecturer in clay target shooting coach training.

This week Kilty made a presentation to the ISSF Organisers Workshop in Munich where he spoke on the role of the coach and their importance in the operational success of World Cup and Championships events.

At the end of the workshop, Kilty went on to chair the first meeting of the ISSF Coaches Committee which also includes Italy’s Trap coach Albano Pera and USA Rifle coach David Johnson.

The new Coaches Committee is seen as an important step for the ISSF in reflecting the importance of the role of the coach in the success of the shooting sports.
